$10m integration fund to build ties on track

THE take-up of a $10-million fund to help citizens bond with new citizens and immigrants is on track, said the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) yesterday.

About $500,000 from the fund, which was set up last September, has been approved for 11 community projects. An MCYS spokesman said that the co-funded projects "involve significant broad-based participation and engage in outreach to both non-local and local groups".
