Baba Cedric Tan will immerse listeners with information on the background and the intricacies related to the practice of the Smayang Tikong in his hometown Melaka. He had the rare opportunity to visit the homes of and interviewing these practising Peranakans during this private event on this special day some 35 years ago. He will be recounting how the art of Smayang Tikong was transmitted from the past to the present generation and how it captured the attention of the younger generation in his hometown and in another country.
