Dear Nyonyas and Babas,
In this month’s video, I am joined by General Committee members, Baba Tony Tan and Nyonya Stella Clare Wee, and Stella’s little Nyonya, Taby.
Baba Tony is the assistant honorary secretary as well as the head of membership. He describes his work around the management and administration of the membership database and takes the opportunity to promote our Junior Membership which is open to children from the ages of 6 to 18 at the friendly fee of $38 and urges our members to sign up their children. Nyonya Stella explains that she had signed up little Nyonya Taby and her two older children as junior members as she would like to expose them to the Peranakan culture from a young age. Nyonya Stella also talks about her work within TPAS.
The months ahead will be busy ones for us, starting with the next cooking demonstration on 22 Oct where Dr Ong Jin Teong will be showing us how to cook curry chicken and roti jala.
