Nyonya Shirley started cooking at a very young age at a hotel where she was sent on a promotional campaign to Hong Kong, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Kuching. As a career, she was a Peranakan chef at The Peranakan restaurant, Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel and Hyatt Hotel. She is now enjoying her retirement, filling her days with music and even has her own band, Shirley’s Cupid.
