Dear Nyonyas and Babas,
In this month’s video, I am joined by Baba Clarence Ling and Nyonya Eunice Yap, our two new General Committee members, along with Chef Anup Kumar from Allspice Institute.
Nyonya Eunice, one of the first-prize winners of the recent Baba Nyonya Literary Festival Writing Competition, shared her experiences growing up in a Peranakan family. Keep an eye out for her story, which will be published in our digital magazine, THE PERANAKAN, where she will also serve as our new Advertising Manager.
Baba Clarence, who founded the Allspice culinary institute 16 years ago out of his passion for Asian cuisine, spoke about his journey. He and Chef Anup Kumar are collaborating to offer exciting cooking demonstrations for our members in October and December 2024.
