Nyonya Ngiam May Ling serves as a GC member for a second term. May Ling has been a volunteer with the Association for five years. She was the Advertising Manager of THE PERANAKAN magazine, stepping down to focus on her other TPAS responsibilities which include being the Association’s Legal Advisor. May Ling is legally trained. She will continue to protect and update the TPAS constitution. She will also advise on our agreements and contracts with third parties, while striking a delicate balance to stay true to the heritage roots of TPAS, so that it remains relevant and robust to serve its members. May Ling also hopes to boost member engagement with TPAS and revive the natural camaraderie of the Peranakan community. She conceptualised and organised the association’s very successful Inaugural Baba Nyonya Literary Festival, indeed the first of its kind ever in the world.
