Dear TPAS members and readers,
It is my great pleasure to announce the digital launch of THE PERANAKAN magazine.
It has been a long journey to get here, and I must say that it has not been easy. However, with the help of our dedicated editorial team, who are all volunteers, we are finally able to present to you our beloved magazine in a new, exciting format.
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the editorial team for their hard work, dedication, and commitment in making this happen. We couldn’t have done it without them, and we are grateful for their efforts.
As we launch this digital issue, I do hope that all members will enjoy reading it. We would love to hear your feedback, so please do send in your comments, suggestions, and ideas. Your support and feedback will help us improve and make future issues even better.
I also want to take this opportunity to appeal to your support for our digital magazine. With this launch, we will see an increase in viewership, which presents a great opportunity for you to advertise your products and services. We would be delighted to showcase your business in our magazine.
We understand that some members may miss the physical copy of the magazine, but this is all part of an evolving landscape. Print has gone out of style amid rising concerns of sustainability, and it has become a lot more costly to produce multiple issues a year. Nonetheless, a physical magazine will still be printed biennially, subject to the availability of resources. We encourage you to advertise with us in both the digital and physical copies of the magazine.
Finally, I would like to say that we are all excited to see what the future holds for the digital version of THE PERANAKAN magazine, and how it creates value for everyone who reads it.
Warmest regards,
Genevieve Peggy Jeffs
President of The Peranakan Association
